Meet Our Coaches

Head Coach and owner, Jim Stewart

Coach Stewart graduated from Alex, and went to college in Lawton. He was an avid diver and football player, and got into tumbling to help his diving. Coach Stewart and his wife married in 1981 and he coached the next 10 years at Duncan Public Schools and taught tumbling in the evenings. Besides tumbling, he also has coached football, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, and track. Coach Stewart has 5 children of his own. He has been awarded numerous "Coach of the Year" awards and has served as State Director for several tumbling associations. He currently has taught 188 National Champion athletes, and has coached 28 National Champion teams. He has had athletes compete at the World Championships in Portugal, Canada, Germany, and Denmark. He was the USA Men's World Championship Team Coach in 1996. He enjoys working with youth and has been active with instrumental in starting FCA at several schools. He has coached kids from all over this area through the years, and his quiet disposition makes him easy for children to relate to. He has coached tumbling for a total of 29 years and has coached in the public school system for 18 years. Coach Stewart coaches all competitive classes and the older cheerleaders.

Assistant Coach, Hannah Stewart

Hannah started tumbling when she was 3 years old, and could do a back handspring when she was 4 years old. She tumbled for 11 years and has helped out at the gym ever since. This past year she has not only coached our 4 & 5 year olds and helped her father with most other classes, but she has also handled a lot of the administrative duties as well. She plans to continue coaching and attend college this Fall. She loves kids, and has a little sister that is 10 years younger that adores her! Hannah also coaches our trampoline for our competition team and our lower level trampoline team won the State Championship team title at this year's State Championships. Hannah also coached several students to win National Championship titles this year in Detroit, MI. She will be co-teaching students ages 6-11 this year with Aaron Williams.

Aaron Williams....Assistant Coach, Elite Athlete

Aaron has been a part of our program for 10 years. He came in as just a pup, and is now an OU college student. He comes from a great Christian family and has 2 younger brothers. Kids just love Aaron. He usually coaches on Thursday nights and fills in as needed. He is a 2 time National Champion and has won many State Championship titles. He is willing to help out in any way possible. This year he was once again named "Oklahoma AAU Male Tumbler of the Year". This is his second time to receive this honor. Aaron teaches private lessons when needed. Aaron and Hannah will be coaching all students ages 6-11 this year.

Aaron received this award in May 08' naming him the Oklahoma Male Tumbling Athlete of the Year. Aaron also judges Trampoline, Double-Mini, and Tumbling at Oklahoma meets. Aaron is very respected in Oklahoma by coaches and kids alike.
